Zhao Yuhong is a Professor and PhD Supervisor at North University of China, serving as Dean of the School of International Education (International Office, the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office) and Adjunct Professor at the University of Science and Technology Beijing and Liaoning Academy of Materials. She has been recognized as a Wan Ren Leading Talent Program and a National Excellent Teacher, and is also a recipient of the National Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talent Project, and Leading Talent in Science and Technology Innovation for Middle-Aged and Young Professionals of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Director of the MOE jointly Collaborative Innovation Center for High-performance Al/Mg based Materials and Director of Shanxi Key Laboratory of Advanced Forming for Intelligent Casting of New Materials, Executive Director of the Solidification Science and Technology Branch of the Chinese Materials Research Society, Vice President of the Shanxi Institute of Metals and the Shanxi Foundry Society, Associate Editor of Adv. Compos. Hybrid. Mater., Editorial Board Member of npj Computational Materials, Editorial Board Member of Acta Metallurgica Sinica, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief (Youth Section) of Special Casting & Nonferrous Alloys. Her research focuses on multi-scale digital intelligent research of solidification and phase transformation during aging, advanced materials and their liquid forming, with dedication to phase-field theoretical modeling, material design and preparation, and process optimization, applied to solidification/aging microstructure control, high-performance material design, and integrated multi-scale process modeling and optimization of processes. She has published more than 300 papers in journals including Sci. Adv., Prog. Mater. Sci., npj Comput. Mater., Acta Mater. and Int. J. Plasticity, with an H-index of 54, holds more than 80 authorized domestic and international patents, and has won 7 first prizes of provincial, ministerial and industrial science and technology awards.
