Abstract

Aim\ This system achieves practical economical CIMS

by transmitting moulding die CAD/CAM/CAE information through a longdistance. Methods\ Applying developed CAD/CAM software numerical control codes are got and conveyed to machine tools at a distant place by self developed tele communication system

which is composed of local areas net

Modem

telephone and telephone lines. Results\ Making use of this system

many kinds of moulding dies can be produced. Conclusion\ This system becomes the feasible means in the application of CIMS technology and is an initiative work leading communication technique into the manufacturing field.
