Continuous emission monitoring systems are becoming increasingly prevalent in industrial plants worldwide. Many new approaches have constantly emerged. The paper presents a new method of particulate emission monitoring based on scintillation. Compared with opacity systems
the new method has many advantages such as higher precision
higher tolerance of instrument contamination and lower cost. Experiment results show a linear response to particulate concentrations.
