Using polyvinylpyrrolidone as template and tetrabutyl titanate as titanium source
titania nanotubes were prepared by hydrothermal method. The structure
morphology
crystalline size
specific surface area and pore size distribution of the prepared samples were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction(XRD)
Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)
transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and N2 adsorption techniques
respectively.Thermal and hydrothermal stabilities were also investigated by thermal and hydrothermal treatments. The experimental results show that the TiO2 nanotubes prepared using PVP as template have big specific surface areas and an average tubular diameter of 6
8
nm.The prepared TiO2 nanotubes still have high thermal and hydrothermal stabilities after hydrothermal treatment at 100 ℃ for 7 days or calcination at 500 ℃ for 3 h
and the structure of the as TiO2 nanotubes can't be damaged.
