Aim To investigate the effect of the element contents in Fe Mn Al C alloys on the tensile strensth at the room temperature. Methods The experimental data reported by many literatures are analysed with inductive method. Results It is important to propose a function χ which depends on the manganese
aluminium and carbon content in Fe Mn Al C alloys. An empirical formula
which shows the mechanical properties of the alloys in different values of the function χ at the room temperature was obtained. Conclusion On the basis of the above results
it is clear that the function relation between the mechanical properties in tension and the element contents will be major available to investigate and design the new stainless alloys containing manganese and aluminium for substituting strategic nickel and chromium in the conventional stainless steels.
