Aim To study shock initiating problem of explosive B with shell under the effect of dynamic load by fragment impact. Methods According to the simplified structure model and the corresponding theoretical analysis

the propagation process of shock wave in the target and shock initiation problem of explosive B with shell is studied. The Φ 14.5 mm ballistic gun is used as launcher. The velocity meaouremont is used to analyze the shock initiating problem of explosive B with shell. Results The critical energy and crieical press are for initating explosive B with shell are given. Conclusion The difference between tested result and the calcueated results is rather small.
