For improving design quality and efficiency of military-equipped diesel engine
Virtual designing crankshaft are researched. The feature-based parametric modeling technology was adopted to build virtual solid model of crankshaft. By simulating boundary restrictions and loading conditions
virtual environments was established to forecast its performances under the actual environments. Dynamic responses of crankshaft were calculated with the superposition method of mode of vibration. Contrasting the maximal deformation from whole displacement space with design target shows that the calculated results are satisfied the design requirements. With this method
not only virtual design of crankshaft can be realized
but also its design quality and efficiency can be enhanced greatly
which lays a solid foundation of virtual design of complete engine.
