on the compressed soliton pulse produced by the cascade compression system are studied. It is found that the higher-order nonlinear effects badly influence the transmission of the compressed soliton pulse. The three-order dispersion effect can lead to the deformation of the compressed soliton pulse due to occurrence of anti-symmetrical disturbance
while the self-steepening and the self-frequency effects result in the split of the compressed soliton pulse
and eventually distort the profile of the pulse. The results show that when pulse is compressed to picosecond or femtosecond regime
the deformation of the compressed soliton pulse occurs
which is a disadvantage for the propagation of the signal in optical soliton communication.
