With the higher demand for the performance of aerospace production
many components used in the aerospace industry are usually thin-walled structures.Because of their poor stiffness
the thin-walled part has large deformation in the process of cutting. The large deformation of thin-walled plate is analyzed
and the theoretical large deformation model is established on the basis of the equations of Von Kármán and the boundary conditions for the cantilever plate. Moreover
the plate deformation in end milling process is calculated by using FEM software ANSYS10.0.In the process of calculating
the influences of cutting forces
location of the cutter(including x and y direction)
and thickness of the plates on the deformation of the thin-walled plates are analyzed. The results show that the appropriate cutting parameters should be selected to satisfy the machining efficiency and precision in the process of milling thin-walled plate.
