To investigate the stress and the strain of thick cylinder during loading

by utilizing the equations of the spacial axisymmetric problem and intoducing reasonable assumptions

the elastic analysis for swage and elasto-plastic analysis for thick-walled cylinder having perfect elasto-plastic model were done.By utilizing the boundary condition and continuity condition of swaging

the calculations of plasic radius and the stress and strain of thick-walled cylinder and mandrel during the loading were deduced.In oder to verify the accuracy

swaging simulations of ten kinds of different excesses were tried.The theoretical value of plastic radius shows good agreement with rusults of numerical simulation.
